Oak Grove Painters is a open group of Boston area plein air painters who meet once a week during the painting season, at an agreed upon location. They have a mutual belief in the value of regularly painting from the real world. All agree that one can get "lost" in their work and there are moments when a sense of intense spirituality and revelation can occur. For the viewer of the finished pictures, the comparison of different interpretations of a single place is fascinating.
